Quality Assurance

Aecon Fabco has responded to the requirements of the business sector in which it operates by implementing Customer and Regulatory Authority requirements in our Quality Management, Quality Assurance and Quality Control Programs. In addition to these quality manuals, quality product manuals, procedures and instructions are applied at the Strategic Business Unit level as follows:  

• Operate a Quality Management System, which complies with the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2000 for the following scope
• Provision of pipe, structural, pressure vessel, machining, mechanical and modular assembly fabrication for both shop and site locations for marine, commercial and industrial sectors
• ASME Code B31.1 for Pressure Piping and B31.3 for Chemical Plant and Petroleum Refinery Piping.
• Canadian Welding Bureau Certification to CSA Standard W47.1 S for Fusion Welding of Steel Structures and its Supplement in Division 2 and CSA Standard W47.2 M for Fusion Welding of Aluminium

Welding

Aecon Fabco has over 500 welding procedures and qualified operators for all grades of carbon, stainless steel, chromes, copper, nickel, duplex, super-duplex heavy wall and a variety of specialized material.

We focus on submerged arc, semi automatic FCAW and GMAW, standard and orbital GTAW as well as SMAW.
